What an impressive evening for sports in Stuttgart! đź’«
A total of 354 athletes were honored this Monday at the sports awards ceremony for their national and international achievements over the past year — a strong testament to the performance and excellence of our region.
Particularly outstanding achievements were recognized with the titles “Sportswoman, Sportsman, and Team of the Year”:🏅 Sandrina Sprengel – fifth place at the World Championships in the heptathlon🏅 Leo Neugebauer – world champion in the decathlon🏆 VfB Stuttgart – DFB Cup winner
The other nominees also impressed with their performances: Sara-Joy Bauer, Anjuli Knäsche, Timo Eder, Lucas Lazogianis, as well as the relay teams of SV Cannstatt and the University of Stuttgart.
The awards were presented by the Mayor of the City of Stuttgart, Dr. Clemens Maier.
