Elite School Student of the Year

Congratulations to our Elite School Student of the Year!

We warmly congratulate Sara-Joy Bauer on being honored as Elite School Student of the Year.

The award was presented on Monday, March 16, 2026, by the Baden-Württemberg Savings Banks Association, represented by President Dr. Neth, together with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Baden-Württemberg, represented by Minister Schopper. It recognizes young athletes who combine outstanding athletic performance with academic success in an exceptional way.

Within the Elite Schools of Sport system, athletes are supported in balancing training, competitions, and school as effectively as possible — an important foundation for successful athletic and personal development.

Sara-Joy Bauer, a boarding student at the House of Athletes at the Stuttgart Olympic Training Center, graduated last year from the Johann-Friedrich-von-Cotta School. Representing the school at the ceremony were Principal Birgit Jaeger-Gollwitzer, Head of Department Angelika Draudt, and Sports Coordinator Matthias Adis.

Also in attendance, though not pictured, were Steffen Elser (Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Baden-Württemberg), Lisa Bernhart (career advisor at the Stuttgart Olympic Training Center), Thomas Lasetzki (Baden-Württemberg Savings Banks Association), and Kim Ruf (judo coach).

We are proud of this achievement and wish her continued success on her athletic and personal journey!
